We had just put a replacement transfer case in his cherokee and decided there was nothing better to do than take it off roading on a budget. Packed up some gear and headed out into the woods in a random direction and just went for hours. It's amazing what a stock cherokee can do with just some all terrain tires and a few guys to help it along.

That flex! I should have taken pictures. That thing was nearly unstoppable in those tight trails in the woods. It was a blast.

I diagnosed my '86 4runner's weird issue of the HVAC blower only working on the 2 highest settings. Turned out to be the resistor pack.
Then I got a bug in me and decided to diagnose my rally lights that stay on if I shut off the ignition. Turned out the switch was plugged into the wrong pin on the relay.
Furthermore, I decided to find out what all the wiring hanging by my left foot was all about, so I took apart the driver side kick panel. Turns out there is a Clifford Arrow alarm installed in the truck that does precisely nothing. There were at least 16 wires coming out of that thing so I just tucked it back in there and shrugged as I put the kick panel back on.

What you cant see in this pic is the 2+ ft of snow that stopped me.

That's a badass rig. His is bone stock apart from some all terrains and a full spare. It's pretty cool what a stock cherokee can do.

Oh Jesus. At least one of us was productive! Sounds like you had your hands full most of the day.

Bah. Two feet of snow. It'll make it!

Meh, only took me about an hour to do all 3 of those things.

That's not too bad then. Next week I'm replacing the factory amps in my car and all of the factory speakers with some aftermarket goodness. Then I get a new top installed. That's it for me really, wheels and tires in May and maybe a new clutch cable and quadrant next week. Not a whole lot really.

Yeah, there are still a few bits and bobs I want to get done on the truck, but that's how these things go. I still need to fix my rear flood lights and fix one of my speakers that has a loose cone. Also, I need to tear apart my transmission and find out why 4th gear doesn't like to engage. I'm guessing it's a worn gear fork or shift collar. I will probably get to it next month when the rain lets up.
Cars, at least they keep us busy.

It's non stop thing, owning a car. There's always something to improve or fix. Even break. They do indeed keep us busy.
